The people who brought you the most controversial and acclaimed show of 2016, «The Killing of Lesbian Bookie», are coming back to the theatre at St. Claude with a work of wild imagination celebrating movies, delighting in comic books, and plunging into the nature of villainy.
Prepare for a dark knight of theatre with the original work «Bats in His Belfry (Three Treatments for a Crusader Who's Caped)».
It's a world of sultry cat burglars, riddles with bombs attached to them, and clownish serial killers who love a good joke.
And the only thing between you and them is a crusader who's caped.
«Bats in His Belfry» reunites the creative team behind «Lesbian Bookie», Justin Welborn, Bunny Love, Kimberly Kaye, and Jim Fitzmorris, and pairs them with the talents of Susan Lanigan, Ashton Akridge, Bob Murrell, Liz Mills, and Clare Marie Nemanich.
The entire run is pay-what-you-will but tickets and seats can be reserved by calling (504) 638-6326.
An oracle of sound is provided by Clare Marie Nemanich. Bat signals and darkness are managed by Bill Camp. The cowls, clown make-up, and penguin suits are coordinated by Dana Marie Embree. And looming above it all is a silent guardian named Jenny Billot overseeing this miniature gotham from above.
«Bats in His Belfry» is not the show you deserve…
It's the show you need.
