Come hang out at The Urban Farmstead from 6:30-7:30 for an hour of loose conversation and in depth observation at Southbound Gardens’ Urban Farmstead. We will wander our ragtag garden of somewhat permacultural delights and seasonal veggies with drinks in hand (provided! Boozy and boozeless), and go deep on what is going on with the things that are growing in our space, how they interact with each other and the ecosystem. We can also delve into the infrastructure of the space, the nature of running an urban farming business, the nature of the nature around us, or anything else that comes to mind. We can talk about your gardens and how they grow the whole time too!
This is meant to be an exploratory hour wherein new and experienced food growers can come to garner inspiration and education on whatever food and dirt related topics that might be tickling their brains, with a focus on seasonality and sustainability. Hopefully we can do this every couple of weeks, so that together we can watch the seasonal progress of a food garden and understand better the various processes and challenges that come along during different times of the year.
Please register in advance.
In the event of serious rain, worry not this event will be cancelled and you will be fully refunded.
