Gut Health 101: Healing Foods for Better Digestion
Join us for a class on all things gut-related. You´ll learn about
the process of digestion, how it functions and disfunctions
What the GAPS protocol is all about
Benefits of bone broth (and how to make it). We´ll also taste some homemade broth!
And we´ll have a hands-on demo for gut-healing foods like homemade sauerkraut, beet kvass (a tonic for your liver), and fermented garlic and tumeric.
At the end of class, we will share resources about groups, books, and doctors to follow if you are looking to optimize your digestive health.
Remember what Hippocrates said «All disease begins in the gut.» (And so does health!!). Join us to talk about how important the right food choices are for healthy digestion.

INSTRUCTOR BIO FOR SABRINA PARRO
«I did the GAPS diet after I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. I did the diet as strictly as possible, with a few fumbles scattered throughout. After a year and a half of the diet I was clear of all Ulcerative Colitis symptoms and a colonoscopy found I had a healthy colon. This was one of the hardest things I've ever done but, clearly, it was worthwhile. Now I keep a diet as close as possible to Full GAPS but am flexible when eating socially. I am a physical oceanographer by profession so I travel a lot for work and find it difficult to eat a similar diet when away. I hope to share my experiences with you.»
