This opportunity is for those living and working in Louisiana. Individual Visual Artists or Collaboratives working in any media are encouraged to apply to the Antenna::Open Call. One applicant will be selected and will be awarded a solo show for the 2018 calendar year, an honorarium of $1,500 (split amongst the group, if collaborative. Please note these funds are meant to cover all costs of this opportunity, including any installation, shipping, or travel expenses if necessary), and given access to Antenna’s print facilities to publish an exhibition catalog or other similar ephemera to be determined by the artists.

Anna Mecugni will be this year's juror for the Antenna :: Louisiana Open Call. Mecugni is an independent curator, scholar and critic of contemporary art from Italy. She has degrees in art history from the Università degli Studi di Bologna and the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. Mecugni has taught at Vassar College, Temple University, and the University of Pennsylvania; she has held curatorial positions at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Venice Biennale, the James Gallery at CUNY, the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center at Vassar College, the Newcomb Art Museum of Tulane University, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Her writings have appeared in exhibition catalogues, scholarly journals, and art magazines, including, most recently for Pelican Bomb.

To apply for this opportunity, you must be a Louisiana resident and must submit the following:

-A portfolio of recent works (10-20)
-Inventory list including titles, dates completed, sizes, and mediums
-Artistic Statement
-Artistic Resume

Note that examples submitted to the Antenna: Open Call need only be representative of your work or practice and don’t necessarily have to be the pieces exhibited at Antenna.
