NOLA to Angola is hosting a series of training rides to help riders and their friends prepare for the 3-day October bicycle trip. These rides will be at a pace to accomodate all skill levels: young people and inexperienced cyclists are certainly welcome. They are also open to the community. Come out, invite your friends and family, meet NTA-riders, and explore the city with us!
ALL RIDERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR A HELMET.
The dates are as follows:
Sat, Sept 9th, 10am, meet at Audubon Zoo (far right side of the parking lot as you face the entrance)
Tues Sept 19th 6pm, meet at NOMA
Sun, Oct 1st, 10am, meet at NOMA, ride to Dong Phuong for lunch
Nola to Angola is an annual three-day, 170-mile bicycle ride fundraiser. We ride from Orleans Parish Prison in New Orleans to Angola, the Louisiana State Penitentiary. Each rider raises money to support the Cornerstone Builders Bus Project, which funds free transportations for families to visit their incarcerated loved ones.
