The Impact of International Education in New Orleans
The panel will cover a brief history of diplomacy in New Orleans and how local universities enhance New Orleans’ ties with the rest of the world through education. Panelists will discuss how New Orleans was among the first cities designated by the U.S. State Department in 1949 to host visitors under the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), and present day efforts of the New Orleans Citizen Diplomacy Council to continue introducing future world leaders to the city and state.
