It's that time of year again! We’re celebrating even more women in technology with the 3rd annual Ada Lovelace Awards, and you're invited!

LookFar’s Ada Lovelace Awards are given yearly to the women who have made the biggest impact on our region’s tech community. While they may not be coders themselves, Ada nominees are women who innovate, lead, and inspire through technology.

This year, we are expanding the awards to recognize the accomplishments of women from across the Gulf South region, including Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and Texas.

In recognition of the many impactful ways that women play a role in the tech community, we have also expanded the event to offer awards in four distinct categories: Computer Engineer, Tech Founder, Digital Marketer, and STEM Educator.

The Ada Lovelace Awards ceremony will take place in New Orleans on Friday, October 13th from 7:30-10:00 p.m. at Le Petit Theatre (616 St Peter St) in the French Quarter.

How much does it cost to attend?
Admission is free, but space is limited. Attendees are required to RSVP in advance via Eventbrite: adaawards17.eventbrite.com

How can I nominate someone for the Ada Lovelace Awards?
You can nominate outstanding women in technology via the form found here: blog.lookfar.com/ada-lovelace-awards-nominate-women-in-tech/

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Our venue, Le Petit Theatre, is in the heart of the French Quarter, next to Jackson Square. While street parking in this area is limited, there are many paid parking lots within a short walk of the theater. We also recommend taking Lyft or Uber to the venue.

I'm coming in from out of town. Where should I stay?
The French Quarter offers a wide array of lodging options. Hotel Monteleone, Maison Dupuy, and the French Market Inn are just a few nearby options ideal for our out-of-town guests.
