Propeller: A Force for Social Innovation
4035 Washington Ave, New Orleans, Louisiana 70125
Electric Girls and LookFar both believe in the importance of empowering girls and women to explore their full potential in technology. Electric Girls instructor, Maya Ramos, will lead a workshop teaching participants to build and solder a parallel LED circuit and integrate it into a custom-designed, laser-cut pin.
Sound daunting? It's not, trust us — over 650 «Electric Girls» in New Orleans have done it, and more, in the last two years. This is a wonderful opportunity that you won't want to miss. Electric Girls and LookFar are excited to present this exciting electronics workshop to supporters of the 2017 Ada Lovelace Awards: Celebrating Women in Tech.
Tickets for this workshop are $25 per person, which includes all supplies. Tickets can be purchased in advance HERE: flipcause.com/secure/cause_pdetails/MjMyOTc=
You may also register for the Win-Win Negotiation Strategies Workshop with Gowland LLC: Making Work Work for Women, which will be held at 1pm on the same day. All ticket sales from that workshop will directly benefit Electric Girls.
