Part of Southern Rep Theatre's Lagniappe Performance Series, join us for a pre-show appearance by the incredible young artists of Dancing Grounds!

The Lagniappe Performance Series is free and open to the public — no ticket is required and concessions are available!

Dancing Grounds is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that brings high-quality, inclusive, and accessible dance education programs to New Orleans residents of all ages and backgrounds. We use dance as a vehicle for developing youth change agents, inspiring health and wellness, and promoting social justice. Dancing Grounds has become a driving force for arts and education in New Orleans and a hub for the local dance community. Since 2012, we have served over 1,000 youth, 3,000 adults, and countless audience members.

Dancing Grounds is thrilled to partner with Southern Rep for the 2017-2018 season as a Community Table partner. By serving as community partners, we can create new opportunities for our young artists to showcase their talents while exploring how their personal and social identities can be reflected, influenced, and understood through theatre.

Part of Southern Rep's Community Table engagement programming, the Lagniappe Performance Series spotlights local performing artists through free public performances immediately before every Friday night Mainstage Southern Rep production. The Lagniappe Performance Series is curated by Producer of Artistic & Community Engagement Lauren Turner. For more information or to apply to appear on the Lagniappe stage, email [email protected]
