2017 Clarence John Laughlin Award Finalists
Please join us in the NOPA Gallery for a presentation of the portfolios of the ten finalists for the 2017 Clarence John Laughlin Award for Fine Art Photography. The CJL Award was created to support the work of photographers who use the medium as a means of creative expression. The Clarence John Laughlin Award grants one $5000 prize annually to a photographer whose work exhibits sustained artistic excellence and creative vision. Juror Paula Tognarelli, Executive Director and Curator of the Griffin Museum of Photography, will select a single winner to be announced in December.
The 2017 award finalists are: Marina Font (Miami Beach, FL), Susan Grant (Dallas, TX), Cig Harvey (Rockport, ME), Letitia Huckaby (Benbrook, TX), Jennifer Schlesinger (Santa Fe, NM), Tara Sellios (South Boston, MA), Elizabeth Stone (Greenough, MT), Jerry Takigawa (Monteray, CA), Maggie Taylor (Gainesville, FL), Anna Tomczak (Lake Helen, FL).
