Join us for a panel discussion and performance featuring the Prospect.4 “Rooted in Resistance, Remembrance, Ritual, Resilience: Black Masking Indian” installation at the New Orleans Jazz Museum.
The panel participants are P.4 artist and retired Big Chief of the Yellow Pocahontas, Darryl Montana, Sabrina Mays Montana, writer Kalamu Ya Salaam, Xavier University professor & artist Ron Bechet, photographers Chandra McCormick & Keith Calhoun, and exhibition designer Jenny Fazande.
At the conclusion of the conversation, there will be singing of traditional songs and dance by members of the Black masking Indian Nations.
This program is presented in partnership with Faces of Culture, the New Orleans Jazz National Historic Park, Prospect New Orleans, and the New Orleans Jazz Museum!
