Join Tunde Wey of Saartj in a presentation and discussion of his social experiment to confront the racial wealth gap in New Orleans. For the month of February, Chef Tunde Wey opened a pop-up Nigerian restaurant at Roux Carré in New Orleans where he asked white customers if they were willing to pay more than twice the price as people of color.
This follow-up event will include a presentation from Wey of his findings and customer responses, followed by a panel discussion of experts, including Andreanecia Morris (President, GNOHA) Lamar Gardere (Executive Director, The Data Center) and Hermione Malone (Executive Director, Good Work Network). Food from QueenTrini Lisa will be served at the event.
