Jonathan Ferrara Gallery will be displaying Carlton Scott Sturgill's new show titled «Something Old / Something New.» as a part of the Art District's Frst Saturday Art Opening. It will feature his floral installations, made from wedding dress fabric and tuxedo fabric. He will also be displaying his paintings of stripes and pixilated portrait images. Sturgill's work deals with the conflict between private life and intimate moments vs. public image and the facade of suburban America. This opening will include an after party at the Drifter Hotel, which is decorated with a floral installation by Sturgill, and will include burlesque dancers.
