And if you don't know much about Friedrich Becker Estate Pinot Noir, check this out:
Becker's Spatburgunder (Pinot Noir) is some of the finest Pinot coming out of Germany. Interestingly, two-thirds of Friedrich Becker's vineyards actually lie in Alsace, currently a territory of France; however, due to an accord struck in 1955 bartering lumber and water rights, Becker was allowed to continue labeling all of his wines as «German». Six generations later, this family owned winery continues to make spectacular wine, even with entry level bottles like this one.
