The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) will host its annual gathering in New Orleans from August 8-10. We are putting out a call to confront ALEC for the role they have played in pulling the strings and delaying justice for all. This call is in part a response to the passage of (ALEC-inspired) HB 727, legislation that specifically targets environmental justice advocates fighting unnecessary infrastructure – but it’s a great opportunity for all social justice advocates to fight back against a group that has targeted so many of our communities for so long.
We will kick off the week with educational opportunities leading up to a series of non-violent direct actions where we will confront ALEC head-on. Join us Aug 6-10 to take back our democracy and demand justice for all!
